And we're off!
Katie Clarke had her fourth performance tonight. She debuted on Friday night in a performance that must've felt like an out-of-body experience for her. She did great. Then she grew over the 3 weekend shows, and after a day off, we started a new week tonight--and the true beginning of our romance as Fabrizio and Clara for the remainder of the run.
It's crazy only 3 months after I joined the cast, I'm now the "veteran" welcoming a new cast member. Just as when I was put into the show, Katie had a similarly sparse rehearsal period. So, she and I will grow together on stage, in front of an audience, just as Kelli and I did when I took over for Matt.
I have no doubt the show will continue to thrive. Katie--with her energy, her smile, her performance as Clara--is a beautiful addition to our company.

Glad to hear it's going well. It's got to be tough coming in as a replacement but it sounds like you and the rest of the cast have gone out of your way to make Katie feel comfortable. Kudos!

I saw the show on Saturday, and I just wanted to say that you, and the entire cast, did wonderfully! You have an amazing voice, and wonderful talent. Thank you for a *beautiful* performance.
Also, thank you so much for making this blog, because you truly write about the buisness in no other way I've read about it before. I've learned SO MUCH from your blog that I can't through books or classes, and it's very nice to be able to see what it's like in a real actor's life. The fact that you even spend time to update it is amazing enough, so, thank you.
One last thing-my aunt visited my house yesterday, and she told me that she and her husband went to high school with you! Their names are Jennifer and Jaime. Perhaps you remember them? :)

Totaly agree with Jamie about the blog; it's really great :) I LOVE Katie, she's such a spaz (that's a good thing) as Clara - it's so cool. I'm glad you and her work so well together!
