Summer Singin'

So excuse the hair of the poor gentlemen whose head caught the bottom of our camera frame, but these shots give you a glimpse of the concert. You can see from the the day shot a piece of the mountain of Masada that served as the backdrop for the stage. And in the concert shot, I'm the blur in the white shirt :) Miri Mesika (get her CD--it rocks! she's like the Israeli Idina Menzel) and Amick Byram (also fabulous--visit his website!) are in the middle and Amick is next to her.

Singing in the heart of the desert is both thrilling and incredibly difficult. We were outside most of the day in 95 degree dry heat. For those of you trying this at home (or in Vegas :) DRINK A TON OF WATER and you'll be ok.

Also, looks like summer is gonna be a glorious one full of song for me. I hope you can all come see me somewhere on the road...

June 13, 14, 15 I'm singing Billy Bigelow in CAROUSEL with the Boston Pops and Keith Lockheart; Symphony Hall Boston
July 10 CAROUSEL with the Boston Pops at Tanglewood Music Festival; Lenox MA

July 21 with Anne Runolfson and the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by the one and only--Marvin Hamlisch at Wolftrap; Vienna, Virginia

August 3, 4, 5 Lt. Joseph Cable in SOUTH PACIFIC at the Hollywood Bowl with Reba McIntyre and Brian Stokes Mitchell

Other than that, in the city auditioning til July then spending some time in LA!

I. Love Brian Stokes Mitchell! That's so exciting! I really think that the minute you can hold your own next to Brian Stokes Mitchell you are set for the rest of your career. Congrats with all of it! I made sure my friends in Boston now know about Carousel (one of my favorite shows ever- gah!) They will def. be there.

And the concert looked really really amazing. My cousin e-mailed me some other pictures and the word he used for it all was "intense".

Busy as a bee, huh? Sorry I'm not going to be able to see you "on the road", going back to Mexico in August and will enjoy NYC as much as possible. Break a leg!

Those pictures are awesome! Thanks for posting them!

I wish I could come see you on July 21 in Vienna, Va! I'm sure you'll be wonderful there and in everything else you do!

By the way, is the South Pacific Performance a concert and gonna be filmed? Or is it just a regular performance?

Take care, and breaK a leg!

The pictures are lovely, I'm sure you gave a spectacular performance. On another note, just to show how amazing you are, I got a letter in the mail the other day stating that you were replacing the other guy at the Wolftrap concert to which I had tickets...and I went BERSERK. I had problems concentrating in my first period class, I was so happy. I cannot wait to see you perform again. Good luck with all of the auditions, you're bound to get into something amazing!

Great pictures! :) I think I may be able to see you at some of those performances-- looking forward to the Wolf Trap concert especially, and of course South Pacific, that will be a lot of fun.

Oh wow, I didn't know you were going to be in LA this summer. I just bought my tickets to South Pacific, so I'll finally get to see you perform in person. This is so exciting!

Well I'm very happy you got a Drama Desk nomination, but those people over at the Tonys are smoking something. They have to be. I'm in my research class right now and I literally screamed out "WHAT?" when I read the list.

But that's ok because Kristin Chenoweth is fabulous and she wasn't nominated either.

My distaste for Spring Awakening is growing more and more.

Can't wait for the 14. I will def. be seeing you. YAY!

The pictures look awesome and your summer sounds like it's going to be fun but you know, you should really think about doing something that will bring you to Canada, Toronto area specifically, or atleast close so that we can see you; I'm missing out! I saw you in The Light in the Piazza televised show but nothing since which makes me a little bit sad. But have fun in the mean time!
