Life is Beautiful

So it's been almost 3 months now since Les Mis. Thankfully, I've been blessed with some incredible experiences to keep me busy.

There was the concert in Israel I told you about. Then the Drama Desk Awards. Then off to London where I was asked to be a member of a new Sony BMG group. Back to NY where I headed up to Boston to work with Keith Lockheart and the Pops on Carousel. London again for pre-production. Boston Pops again up at Tanglewood. Back to London. Then to NY and straight to DC where I performed last weekend with Marvin Hamlisch and The National Symphony. And lastly from DC to LA, where I'm currently in rehearsals for South Pacific at the Hollywood Bowl.

I have to say, I still feel a bit hazy about everything. Yeah, part of that is jet lag. But mainly, it's a haze of joy. I feel so overjoyed to have these opportunities to take my art to other states and countries and work with such talented, good people.

What I've learned--sometimes a change of scenery and routine proves inspirational.

Hope you're all having a great summer! And thanks to all of you who travel to see me! See you at the Bowl!

Hello Mr. Lazar. It's nice to have you back. I love reading your blogs. You're a very generous person sharing performance tips, philosophies, etc. to your readers and aspiring artists.
I'm a classical singer and I hope I get to share my artistry to the world someday. Good luck to you and your future shows. Oh, by the way I'm reading your stuff all the way from Manila.

Saw your stunning performance in "South Pacific" at the H'wood Bowl last weekend. With gratitude for your gorgeous and heartbreaking rendition of "Younger Than Springtime".
Wishing you all continued success.
