Previews
Today was our first day off in two weeks of rehearsals during the day and, this week, preview performances at night. It's been an incredible rush to be a part of the evolution of Tale from the rehearsal studios to the stage with full sets/costumes/lights and audiences.
Just a quick note to the fans--THANK YOU!!!! Your incredible enthusiasm for our work is so appreciated by all of us both onstage and backstage! I'm truly looking forward to the coming weeks, opening night, and our rumored cast album recording (cross your fingers!).
Oh and if you haven't already, check out Broadway.com's behind the scenes video documentary's of Tale--they're really well done!
Off to bed and then rehearsal/preview #8 tomorrow!

Hey, Aaron.
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say it last week, but I thought the show was utterly fabulous. The whole show, the whole cast, everything really exceeded all my expectations (and I have to say I was expecting a lot considering that the novel has long been one of my favourites), and I am honestly looking forward to seeing it again.
Break a leg!
Hello, Mr. Lazar. My background is in theater in film as a writer, and I also write historical novels for teens (one of them is about Napoleon, so I know my French history...). I saw "A Tale of Two Cities" Friday night. You were great as Charles Darnay-- projecting earnestness and decency, as well as having a fine voice-- and I'm confident the entire cast and show will be a huge hit. This show has Tonys in its future. I am encouraging everyone I know to go see it.
Aaron,
I had the absolute pleasure of seeing A Tale of Two Cities on the 20th and I must say that I was extremely impressed and moved by your performance. I'm a huge fan of the novel and seeing it brought to life up close (first row center orchestra helps, too) was like a dream come true. I really hope the show is a major success, you all deserve it! Keep up the spectacular work! I look forward to seeing the show again soon! Thank you for being a performer who really puts his heart and soul out there during each and every performance, I’ve been blown away in every production that I’ve seen you in!
Hi Aaron,
Saw the show on 8/23,,,moved to tears at some points and joy at others. This play is quality theatre at it's best! Enjoy it all!
